The Voice of the Tezzlican

“Hi all! Well, it’s that time when that most detestable of slimy creatures, the Politician ( recidivistas assholus ) comes out of his/her burrow like on Groundhog Day and asks us to trust him/her. I for one wouldn’t trust one of these putrid dribblers in any kind of sense or form! Wouldn’t trust the skidmarks on their undies even if I got ’em checked by a handwriting expert……but anyway… It got me thinking about people you can’t trust……

* A guy in a strait-jacket directing traffic…. * A jogger..(aren’t they the ones who always find the bodies?) * Any person who starts a sentence with “This is no bullshit, but….” * Any person who discusses themselves in the 3rd. person. * Bindi Irwin (weird woman-child) * A News Editor (of any description) * The Sandringham line train (if it were a person….) * A Pub Bouncer with a ponytail and a goatee. * John Lithgow. * An Actor or anybody who excuses their Paedophilic tendencies as ‘Research’. * My Cat when she tells me furry lies about not having been fed.

I could go on forever but there is only so much Vodka in one bottle…..feel free to send more examples! (Not of the Vodka, the Untrustworthies….Hmmm, on second thoughts…….)

This Sunday arvo July 25th. at (roughly) 4 P.M. the fabulous (and funny) PRAYERBABIES are in da house. Very talented and extremely entertaining!! What are you waiting for? Line up now…….” – ta & well said Terry! xxxe’en

Frowny cars & P-babies sun @ 303 High st Nct

In recent times we are beset by frowny faced cars. Vws, mazdas, fords, bmws, mitsubishis (parTICularly grrish) – you just look about; they’re almost all silver, & their headlights have very frowny brows. It’s positively unnerving to look in the rearview on occasion, & praps that’s just what they’re aiming to achieve: out of my way, you wistful preGFCmobile, my need for A to B is unparalleled! Or is it just my fertile imagination/headfullacrap? See me deposed as leader of PRAYERBABIES SUN 8PM BAR 303 HIGH ST NCT (+ lotsa bands all day @ the Greens Benefit) in a poll-driven, bloodnutted coup; by your favourite polldrivers… mmyup! xxxe’en

Odd times…

– here’s one: 3PM on a MONDAY – actually, seems unnervingly inodd, til context reveals it to be start time for THE PRAYERBABIES @ THE UNION HOTEL BRUNSWICK. Due to the happy convention of made-up birthday dates for royalty, horses and born-again religious enthusiasts, next monday is holiday for all! – spose that includes the staff at the hotel, being staunch monarchists, & that being the case, this is your chance to practice pouring your own beer – is snappin those taps as hard as it looks? So, just to get myself into comprehensive trouble, it’s therefore self-serve, & let’s say, an honour system of payment. Carry on… xxxe’en

Meet me in Brunchwick

While last week we were awakened to the sound of thoughts being counted all over the land & the indescribable tang of tortured toast bearing vulcanised eggs, there is no such greeting card-powered motif motivating movement in any particular which way, save

SUNDY CARAMELISED SUNDY IT IS MY TASK TO GO TELL THAT @ 5pm IN BRUNCHWICK THERE’S P-BABIES @ THE UNION HOTEL

The giant & unwieldy dirigible of consequence…

…filled a large corner of the sky; rising & reeling on a flippant wind in the hands of its distracted & surely drunken usual pilot. I mumbly suggest we ignore it over lunch @ Cafe Peril…

– paps thence we could unwind with THE PRAYERBABIES 9 30 THIS FRI LOMOND HOTEL NICHOLSON ST E BRUNS

Legalise Men’s Pyjamas

… well, i’m sure someone said something like that @ the rally where we successfully ROSE UP against our OPPRESSORS, armed only with a PUZZLINGLY indistinct BAGPIPE fetish, SAVED LIVE MUSIC & preserved our RIGHT to play @ DODGY venues for IFFY remuneration in PURPLETUITARY for yall – it’s about MORE than mere MONEY i SPOSE. Must get this CAPS lock looked AT.

See PRAYERBABIES play for NO remuneration at all THIS SAT 5pm as part of An Afternoon and Evening of music at THE CLARE 421 Rathdowne St Carlton 3 -12pm* then, on SUNDY @ 5pm PRAYERBABIES finish their month o’ no-undie-sundies @ the UNION HOTEL Union st BrunCHWicK then we lie in a panting heap & fall asleep in a pile like kittens

*This is a fund-raiser for Western Sahara which, as i understand it, has suffered a fate similar to East Timor’s tribulation: colonial power withdraws, neighbour invades for resource control – chaos, violence & persecution ensues – not to be encouraged! $10 entry or book for a 3 course dinner ($40 set menu) at 7pm

A fundraiser for Union Aid Abroad, Western Sahara Projects and Australia Western Sahara Association with The Conch, Tom Bolton, Adam Lawler, Naomi Jones Trio, Irine Vela, Anthea Sidiropoulos & The Royale Bellydance Company

Water QL-d

Well thank goo-ness! Violence in the CBD is to be a thing of the past, now that clubs are to install water coolers. This, I glean from L’Age, & huzzah! I rest assured that the patrons of these august venues will henceforth cluster quietly around the aquapacifiers, reverting to the stereo-typical office chitchat so plainly evoked by that mystic apparatus. Mmm, after 300/600ml of free water, it is plain they will be suddenly inured against the 7 vodkas & equivalent of 14 coffees they have consumed in their “energy” drink & booze cocktails*: the single most popular tipple in Nigella’s “Recipes for Disaster” – makes you do the wrong thing, only much, MUCH faster!

*& I speak from years of experience here – since getting old last century, i invented (far as i knew!) & began consuming 1or 2 of these concoctions myself per gig… & beyond this be drag- ons/queens/racing/marks, bleev me!

“Umprissuvely succunct”

I can but agree with this Unverckergull Chruneckul review of Wilhelm Reich’s posthumous masterpiece “Don’t Throw Away Your Old Skin” and, since reading this ten word testament, I’ve already saved enough once offhandedly sloughed cells to build my own stinky golem, eliminate several foes, and have it voted Australian Senior of the Year!

Boxing Day

… what is it all about?* Fisticuffs at the post-crassmas sales? Tryna get wa-ay ugly stuff repackaged to exchange for something you’ll actually use/wear/eat/own up to? Something to do with a 19th century Chinese rebellion in the name of comfortable underwear? Praps it’s just recovering from the previous festivities, having a nice sit down with a box on your head. Having enjoyed that, may i be so bald as to mumbly suggest another method for recovering from the other major calendar event, namely a doghair @ the UNION BRUNSWICK SAT 2nd Jan 5 -7pm with The PRAYERBABIES..?

*Evidently the day after christmas was when the churches in Britain traditionally distributed the donated largess from their “poor boxes” amongst the raggedy-arsed. Typical institutional behavior. Probably could have used it BEFORE christmas, eh? Maybe get the kids something besides the usual twig & dried mud. Mustn’t grumble though. Apparently. M’Lady.
